James Dingley is a political sociologist at Queen’s University Belfast andholds a PhD from the University of London. His main interest lies inapplying classical social theory to the analysis of ethno-national and religiousconflict. He is a former NATO instructor on terrorism and has lecturedon terrorism in Queen’s, University of Ulster, and University ofKurdistan-Hawler (Iraq), where he was also head of the Department ofBusiness and Management. He has published extensively in internationaljournals, published six books, and lectured around the world aswell as being a regular media commentator on various conflicts.
