Access to Official Subjects Teams, Material and Video Lesson Recordings
Dear foreign students, in the first semester, due to the long time of bureaucracy for getting VISA and process your enrollment requests, in order to allow all pre-enrolled and interested students to attend classes, we decided to open the access to our telematics platform, that is Microsoft Teams, initially limiting the access to learning material and video lessons recordings.
Now, students who completed their enrollments have to correctly use all University services, including Microsoft Teams.
In the past days, enrolled students should have received an email from the University of Messina with your institutional account [***@studenti.unime.it] and password (if not please, send an email to foreignstudents@unime.it and request it). From now on, you must use this account to access all Universities services including https://unime.esse3.cineca.it/ for monitoring your academic career, book exams, and so on. Other services you can access include email (institutional Microsoft account activation is required. Read below), Matlab, Scientific Databases, Library, eLearning, etc. All services are accessible by logging here. We remark that from now on, enrolled students must use their institutional email fo communicate.
Furthermore, the University of Messina grants all enrolled students the access to several institutional Microsoft services. To use such services, the first fundamental step is to activate your institutional Microsoft account. This is possible by using your institutional email [***@studenti.unime.it] and following the brief guide in attachment. Once, your institutional Microsoft account will be activated, you will be able to access all institutional Microsoft services including outlook web(for sending/receiving email), office 365 web and Teams. Moreover, you will be able to download several desktop software including office 365, Skype professional, Windows Operating System and their licenses.
Enrolled students can access a specific official Team for each subject (Programming, Calculus, Physics, Discrete Mathematics) of the first semester (see web links the attachment). In this transition phase, teachers are going to continue to do classes in the generic open "Data Analysis" Team class, as usual, but the will upload in the file section of their specific Teams both learning material and video lesson recordings. Once our Internationalization office will finish to process all enrollment requests, live lessons will be held in the official Team of each subject (you will receive an official communication about when this will happen).
