Curriculum

Il Prof Giuseppe Saija è Professore Ordinario nel settore scientifico disciplinare SECS-P/13 (Scienze Merceologiche).
− Svolge attività di ricerca nell’ambito delle tematiche delle “Scienze Merceologiche” presso il Dipartimento di Economia dell’Università degli Studi di Messina, preminentemente: strumenti e sistemi di gestione per la qualità e l’ambiente; sistemi di gestione integrata (qualità, ambiente, sicurezza, etica, ecc.), con particolare riferimento al settore agro-alimentare; certificazione di sistema e di prodotto (EMAS, ISO 14001, Ecolabel, ……); caratterizzazione e qualità degli alimenti.
− Svolge attività di docenza di materie del s.s.d. SECS-P/13 (Scienze Merceologiche) in CdS dell’Università degli Studi di Messina  (in particolare “Tecnologia e Qualità”, “Sistemi di Gestione per la Qualità” e “Ecologia Industriale”).
− Responsabile Scientifico dell’unità di ricerca dell’Università degli Studi di Messina del progetto PRIN 2017 - PRIN_2017EC9WF2_002 - ILCIDAF - “Promoting Agri-Food Sustainability: Development of an Italian Life Cycle Inventory Database of Agri-Food Products”.
− Componente di un’unità di ricerca impegnata nel progetto PO FESR SICILIA 2014-2020 AVVISO 1.1.5 - 08ME2899200216 – ELETTRORIGENERA - “Elettrolizzatori Rigenerativi per la Conversione e L’accumulo in Idrogeno del Surplus di Energia Elettrica da Fonti Rinnovabili ed Efficiente Riutilizzo dell’energia in Applicazioni Residenziali".

− È stato Coordinatore, componente del Comitato Tecnico Scientifico e docente del Master di I livello in “Quality Management dei servizi sanitari - Impresa 4.0” (a.a. 2018/2019).
− È stato Coordinatore, componente del Comitato Tecnico Scientifico e docente del Master di I livello in “Quality Management dei servizi sanitari” (a.a. 2014/2015).
− È stato delegato del Direttore per la Qualità e la Certificazione del Dipartimento di Economia (già Dipartimento di Scienze Economiche, Aziendali, Ambientali e Metodologie quantitative - SEAM) dell’Università degli Studi di Messina, con sistema di gestione per la qualità certificato secondo la norma UNI EN ISO 9001:2008, sino a ottobre 2016.

− È stato componente della Giunta di Dipartimento del SEAM.

(PON 2000-2006, Asse III, Misura III.5, Programma n° CCI N1999 IT 161 PO 003), in relazione alle iniziative: ORI05 “Counseling”, FOR11 “Formazione degli insegnanti e degli operatori” e VER12 “Monitoraggio dell’azione orientativa”.
− Incaricato dal CNR – ITAE (Messina) a tenere, nel 2004, l’insegnamento di Sistemi di Qualità nell’ambito del progetto FAPEMS (Formazione scientifica avanzata per la progettazione e la sperimentazione di sistemi a propulsione elettrica con celle a combustibile ai fini della mobilità sostenibile).
- È socio AISME (Accademia Italiana delle Scienze Merceologiche), già S.I.M. (Società Italiana di Scienze Merceologiche) e della International Association for Commodity Science and Technology (IGWT), dal 1983.
− È socio della Rete Italiana LCA.
− È socio della ISDRS (The International Sustainable Development Research Society).
− Ha partecipato a numerosi convegni nazionali ed internazionali.
- È autore di oltre centoquaranta pubblicazioni scientifiche, edite su atti congressuali, libri e riviste scientifiche nazionali ed internazionali.

    Curriculum

    Prof. Giuseppe Saija is Full Professor in the scientific-disciplinary sector (s.d.s.) SECS-P/13 (Commodity Science).
    −          He carries out research activities in the field of "Commodity Science" at the Department of Economics of the University of Messina, mainly: tools and management systems for quality and the environment; integrated management systems (quality, environment, safety, security, ethics, etc.), with particular reference to the agri-food sector and, to system and product certification (EMAS, ISO 14001, Ecolabel, etc.); characterization and quality of food.
    −          He carries out teaching activities for subjects falling within the s.d.s. SECS-P/13 (Commodity Science) in Degree courses of the University of Messina (in particular, "Technology and Quality", “Quality Management Systems” and "Industrial Ecology").
    −          He is Scientific Leader of the University of Messina research unit of the project PRIN 2017 - PRIN_2017EC9WF2_002 - ILCIDAF - “Promoting Agri-Food Sustainability: Development of an Italian Life Cycle Inventory Database of Agri-Food Products”.
