Martedì 12 Ottobre 2021 ore 12:00 in Aula SBA-T-2A si terrà il seminario del Prof. PhD. Patrick Di Martino University of Cergy-Paris, dal titolo "France Extracellular polymeric substances: a key element in understanding biofilm phenotype".

"Patrick Di Martino is Full Professor of Microbiology, Head of the Department of Bioengineering, at the Institute of Technology, University of Cergy Paris in Cergy-Pontoise, France.

He conducts his research activities in the ERRMECe (Equipe de Recherche sur les Relations Matrice Extracellulaire-Cellule) Laboratory. The ERRMECe laboratory studies the relationships between cells, the extracellular matrix and the environment. Approaches are developed at the molecular, supramolecular and cellular levels.

Patrick Di Martino is working on microbial colonization and biodeterioration of materials. This includes the study of microbial diversity associated with deterioration processes of cultural heritage materials; the development of innovative strategies to combat biofilm formation; The characterization of extracellular polymeric substances in biofilm matrices."
