Roberta Somma is an Associate Professor at the Department of Mathematical and Computer Sciences, Physical Sciences and Earth Sciences (University of Messina, Italy). Her main research topics are Stratigraphy of the Paleozoic and Meso-Cenozoic successions of the Mediterranean Chains (Calabrian Arc, Betic Cordillera, Rif, Europe) and Sedimentology of actual sediments. In the last decades, she matured expertise as forensic geologist and analyses Composition and Texture of forensic soils to assist judicial system in crime investigations. She is also a geologist expert in Criminalistics and Forensic Sciences.
