Curriculum
Roberta Salomone, dottore di ricerca in “Tecnologia ed economia dei processi e dei prodotti per la salvaguardia dell’ambiente” (Università di Catania), è Professore ordinario s.s.d. SECS-P/13 (Scienze Merceologiche) presso il Dipartimento di Economia dell’Università degli Studi di Messina, Prorettore ai servizi agli studenti nello stesso Ateneo e delegato di Ateneo per la Rete delle Università per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile (RUS).Ha partecipato e partecipa a vari gruppi di ricerca e, ad oggi, ha effettuato oltre 150 pubblicazioni in Congressi, libri e riviste, nazionali ed internazionali. Le sue principali attività di ricerca riguardano i temi della sostenibilità, della economia circolare, della simbiosi industriale e degli strumenti di gestione e valutazione ambientale, con particolare riferimento a quelli di Life Cycle Thinking (principalmente Life Cycle Assessment LCA). È componente del direttivo dell’AISME (Accademia Italiana di Scienze Merceologiche) e del direttivo del ISDRS (International Sustainable Development Research Society). È stata componente del direttivo della Rete Italiana LCA dal 2013 al 2019. È componente del collegio dei docenti del dottorato in “Economics, Management and Statistics” – Università di Messina e Catania. È stata visiting professor presso varie università straniere, tra cui: AGH University of Science and Technology, Kracow (Poland), Tsinghua University, Beijing (China), University of Tokyo, Tokyo (Japan), Bren School of Environmental Science & Management University of California, Santa Barbara CA (USA).

Curriculum
Roberta Salomone has Ph.D. in “Technology and Economics of Processes and Products for the Environmental Safeguard" (University of Catania). She is currently Full Professor of Commodity Science, Vice Rector for Student Services of the University of Messina from the 09/07/2020 and Rectoral Delegate for the Italian University Network for Sustainable Development (RUS Rete Università per lo Sviluppo Sostenibile) from the 07/12/2018. She has been President of the Orientation and Placement Center of the University of Messina from the 03/07/2018 to the 09/07/2020. She has been Deputy Director of the Department of Economics - University of Messina (Italy) from 25/01/2016 to July 2019.She participates and participated to various research groups, also as national coordinator and she is, actually, author of more than 150 publications on national and international scientific journals, books and proceedings. Her main research themes are related to sustainability, circular economy, industrial ecology and industrial symbiosis, and environmental management and assessment, with particular reference to Life Cycle Thinking methods (mainly Life Cycle Assessment - LCA). She is expert for the European Commission (DG Research & Innovation) and she has been reviewer for VQR 2004-2010 and member of the panel of expert for the area of Economics, Business Economics and Statistics for VQR 2011-2014 in the Italian National Agency for the Evaluation of the University System and Research (ANVUR).
She is: member of the Board of the Italian Academy of Commodity Sciences and member of the Board of the International Sustainable Development Research Society (ISDRS) from 01/01/2019; member of the Board of Professor of the PhD in “Economics, Management and Statistics” – Universities of Messina and Catania. She was member of the Board of the Italian LCA Network from June 2013 to June 2019.
