Ilenia Pisagatti was born in Messina, 18/07/1975. She graduated in Chemistry (cum laude) at the University of Messina in 1999 and she obtained her PhD in Chemistry from the same University in 2003, under the supervision of Prof. M. F. Parisi. After a six year as researcher fellow, she spent a two year experience as a process chemist at the academic spin-off ANMR srl. She rejoined Parisi’s group in 2012 as researcher fellow and since 2015 she holds the position of technologist at the Dipartimento di Scienze Chimiche, Biologiche, Farmaceutiche ed Ambientali of Messina. Her research interest focus on the design and synthesis of macrocyclic compounds (calixarenes, hetera-calixarenes, pillararenes and cyclic amides) and their use as building blocks for the construction of supramolecular polymers, advanced nanomaterials and drug delivery systems.
The results of scientific research are reported in 37 publications (H-index 16) on peer reviewed international journals.
