Curriculum
Giuseppa Di Bella, PhD, è professore ordinario di Chimica degli alimenti presso il Dipartimento di Scienze Biomediche, Odontoiatriche e delle Immagini Morfologiche e Funzionali dell'Università di Messina (Italia).La prof. Di Bella svolge la sua attività didattica nei Corsi di Laurea in Scienze Gastronomiche (L-26), Medicina Veterinaria (LM-42), Scienze dell’alimentazione e nutrizione umana (LM-61).
E’ componente del Collegio dei docenti del corso di dottorato in Scienze Chimiche.
E’ tutor di dottorandi di ricerca e tutor per la formazione di alcuni studenti Erasmus.
E’ stata Coordinatrice del Corso di Laurea in "Scienze Gastronomiche", con sede a Messina (Italia) dal 2008 al 2021; attualmente è Vice Coordinatore dellostesso CdS.
È responsabile per l'accordo bilaterale di Erasmus + con l'Università di Cordoba e Lisbona nel settore Food Science and Technology, ed è referente per la mobilità internazionale per il Corso di Laurea in Scienze Gastronomiche. È supervisore di alcuni studenti stranieri nell'ambito del progetto di mobilità Erasmus Mundus Action 2.
Ha fatto parte del Comitato Organizzatore e del Comitato Scientifico di numerosi Congressi nazionali e internazionali. È stata relatrice in convegni scientifici, anche su invito.
Attualmente collabora con l'Università di Monastir (Tunisia).
E’ revisore per diverse riviste nel campo della chimica degli alimenti. Attualmente è membro dell’Editorial Advisory Board delle riviste “Recent Patents on Food, Nutrition & Agriculture” e “Foods”. E’ Guest Editor dello Special Issue "Safety and Nutritional Quality of Mediterranean Food and Food Products" in Foods, e Guest Editor dello Special Issue “Food waste valorization in Fermentation (ISSN 2311-5637).
È stata revisore per la valutazione della qualità della ricerca 2011-2014 nell'area chimica (GEV 03) (VQR 2011-2014).
È iscritta a REPRISE (Registro degli esperti scientifici istituiti nell'ambito del MIUR) nel settore Ricerca di base.
I suoi interessi di ricerca includono le tecniche cromatografiche, spettrometriche e spettroscopiche (HRGC, HPLC, HRGC / MS, ICP / OES, ICP / MS) e le loro applicazioni nello studio di matrici complesse naturali e ambientali.
Ad oggi la produzione scientifica della Prof. Di Bella comprende circa 300 pubblicazioni, tra cui articoli su riviste nazionali e internazionali, capitoli di libri e libri pubblicati da case editrici nazionali e internazionali (sito web Cineca).
Curriculum
Giuseppa Di Bella, PhD, is Full Professor of Food Chemistry at the Department of Biomedical and Dental Sciences and Morphofunctional Imaging of the University of Messina (Italy).
Prof. Di Bella teaches the course of Food chemistry at Degree Course in Gastronomic Sciences (L-26), Veterinary Medicine (LM-42), Food Science and Human Nutrition (LM-61) and in Safety and Quality of Animal Productions (LM-86).
She is in the Professor College of PhD Course in Chemical Sciences.
She is tutor of students admitted to doctorate courses of which she was a fellow and she is mentor for the Erasmus students’ training.
She was Coordinator of Degree Course in “Gastronomic Sciences”, located in Messina (Italy), from 2008 to 2021; currently She is deputy coordinator of the same course.
She is responsible for the bilateral agreement of Erasmus + with the University of Cordoba and Lisbona in the Food Science and Technology, and she is named the contact person for the international mobility for the Degree Course in Gastronomic Sciences. She is supervisor of some foreign students within the Project of mobility Erasmus Mundus Action 2.
She was part of the Organizing Committee and the Scientific Committee of several national and international Conferences. She has been invited speaker in scientific conferences.
Prof. Di Bella collaborates in research activities and projects with the University of Monastir. (Tunisia).
She serves as reviewer for different Journals in the field of Food Chemistry. Currently, she is an Editorial Advisory Board Member of the journals “Recent Patents on Food, Nutrition & Agriculture” and “Foods”. She is Guest Editor of the Special Issue "Safety and Nutritional Quality of Mediterranean Food and Food Products" in Foods, and Guest Editor of the Special Issue “Food waste valorization in Fermentation (ISSN 2311-5637).
She was reviewer for the assessment of the Quality of Research 2011-2014 in the Chemistry Area (GEV 03) (VQR 2011-2014).
She is registered in REPRISE (Register of scientific experts established within MIUR) in the Basic Research branch.
Her research interests include chromatographic, spectrometric and spectroscopic techniques (HRGC, HPLC, HRGC/MS, ICP/OES, ICP/MS) and their applications in the study of natural and environmental complex matrices.
Today the scientific production of Prof. Di Bella consists of about 300 publications, including articles in national and international journals, proceeding and book chapters published by national and international publishing houses (Cineca website).
