Curriculum

Fabrizio De Vita ha conseguito la laurea triennale in Ingegneria Elettronica e Informatica nel 2015 e la laurea magistrale in Engineering and Computer Science nel 2017 presso l’Università degli Studi di Messina.  Nel 2021 ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in “Cyber Physical Systems” presso dell’Università degli studi di Messina discutendo una tesi intitolata “Deep Learning Techniques for Intelligent Cyber Physical Systems: Towards a New Generation of Smart and Autonomous Things’’. Attualmente è Ricercatore a tempo determinato (tipo A) presso il dipartimento di Ingegneria dell’Università degli studi di Messina.

L’attività di ricerca di Fabrizio De Vita  riguarda lo studio di soluzioni intelligenti ed algoritmi di machine e deep learning volti alla realizzazione di Intelligent Cyber Physical Systems con applicazioni negli Smart Environments. Nel contesto delle Smart Cities ha investigato il problema legato al miglioramento del Quality of Service (QoS) di applicazioni, proponendo soluzioni basate su tecniche di Federated Learning per l'allenamento distribuito di reti neurali complesse e di Deep Reinforcement learning per la migrazione intelligente di servizi su reti 5G. Dal 2019, la sua attività di ricerca si focalizza sull'ambito dell'Industria 4.0 al fine di realizzare sistemi intelligenti in grado di diagnosticare lo stato di ``salute'' di un impianto industriale mediante tecniche di predictive maintenance ed anomaly detection.

Curriculum

Fabrizio De Vita received the bachelor degree in Computer Engineering in 2015 and the master degree in Engineering and Computer Science in 2017 from the University of Messina. In 2021 he received the PhD in “Cyber Physical Systems” from the University of Messina, discussing a thesis about ``Deep Learning Techniques for Intelligent Cyber Physical Systems: Towards a New Generation of Smart and Autonomous Things’’. He now works as a Researcher at the Engineering Department of the University of Messina.

The research activity of Fabrizio De Vita is about the study of intelligent solutions and machine/deep learning algorithms for the realization of Intelligent Cyber Physical Systems with applications on Smart Environments. In the Smart City context he investigated the problem related to the improvement of applications Quality of Service (QoS) and proposing solutions based on Federated Learning for the distributed training of complex neural networks and Deep Reinforcement learning approaches for the intelligent migration of services in 5G networks. From 2019 the research activity of Fabrizio De Vita focuses on the Industry 4.0 area, with the goal of implementing smart systems to diagnose health state of an industrial plant via predictive maintenance and anomaly detection techniques.
