Emanuele Luigi Sciuto obtained a Ph.D. in Material Science and Nanotechnologies at the University of Catania, with an industrial doctoral scholarship at STMicroelectronics. He is the winner of the 3rd Ph.D Thesis National Award Contest “Dario Scapaticci” organized by MESAP industrial pole of Torino. Now, he is a Researcher at the University of Messina, Department of Chemical, Biological, Pharmaceutical and Environmental Sciences. His research is focused on the development of advanced micro- and nanotechnologies and smart biointerfaces for biosensing applications in biomedicine and environmental monitoring. Actually, he is working on the development and characterization of nanostructured materials for innovative genetic “Point-of-Care” sensing applications.
