FUNZIONI DIPARTIMENTALI

COMPETENZE CLINICHE

Dal 1996 ad oggi, ha svolto ininterrottamente attivita’ clinica di anestesista-rianimatore presso ospedali universitari, dapprima presso l’AOU Policlinico Universitario di Messina (1996-2012), poi presso l’AOU Citta’ della Salute e della Scienza di Torino, Presidio Molinette (dal 2012 al 2019), poi presso l’AOU Policlinico G Martino di Messina (dal 1 ottobre 2019 a tutt’oggi).

Come anestesista ha acquisito esperienza nel trattamento anestesiologico perioperatorio in tutte le branche della chirurgia generale e specialistica per interventi in regime di elezione o di emergenza. Ha in particolare acquisito specifica esperienza nel trattamento anestesiologico ed intensivo del paziente critico con patologia neurologica acuta.

Dal 2012 al 2019 ha svolto attivita’ di intensivista presso la terapia intensiva universitaria della AOU Citta’ della Salute e della Scienza di Torino, Presidio Molinette. La terapia intensiva universitaria delle Molinette ricovera pazienti con patologie critiche di diversa eziologia (dall’insufficienza respiratoria acuta severa, allo shock settico con disfunzione multiorgano, a pazienti nel postoperatorio di chirurgia maggiore complessa, ed e’ centro di riferimento regionale per la gestione del paziente con insufficienza respiratoria acuta con ausilio di tecniche di circolazione extracorporea (ECMO). Tale reparto e’ inoltre terapia intensiva di riferimento per il trapianto di polmone e per le procedure di ex vivo lung perfusion.

Ha collaborato al raggiungimento degli obiettivi di risultato proposti annualmente dall’unita’ operativa di afferenza.
