The University of Messina has organized thematic courses and seminars related to sexual education for the local community during the academic years 2018-19 and 2019-20. The main actor of these activities has been the Center for Research and psychological intervention, CERIP. The Center’s efforts are dedicated to the advancement of scientific knowledge in psychological issues and the development of a state-of-art practices in psychological consultation. Through this Center, the University of Messina has laid the foundation to sign several partnership agreement with local high schools. These agreements have committed the two parties to develop joint actions to raise awareness and inform public opinion, experts, teachers, families and public and private institutions on sexual education. The joint actions may include, but are not limited to, conferences, seminars, study days, didactic activities, experiential workshops aimed at adolescents, families and adults.
