The COPD Research day (10 May 2019) is a meeting annually organized to investigate and highlight the severity and spread of bronchopulmonary diseases that cause 3.2 million deaths worldwide and represent one of the main causes of death among the Italian population. In particular, it has been shown that tobacco smoke causes different clinical diseases such as COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease), cancer and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.
