Angela Di Pietro (orcid.org/0000-0002-7273-6493), laureata in Scienze Biologiche il 10-3-1977 (110 e lode) presso l’Università di Messina, è stata ricercatore universitario e quindi ricercatore confermato dal 1983 al 29-5-2001 presso la facoltà di Scienze MMFFNN. Dal 30-5-2001 a tutt’oggi è professore associato (Università di Messina, SDS Med 42). E' stata componente del Collegio Docenti di Corsi di Dottorato dal XVII al XXII Ciclo.
E’ autore di 110 pubblicazioni e di un analogo numero di Comunicazioni e Poster in congressi nazionali ed internazionali volti a studiare le interazioni salute-ambiente. La sua più recente attività di ricerca è prevalentemente mirata a studiare i meccanismi patogenetici di metalli, altri inquinanti, compresi alcuni nanomateriali quali i nanotubi di carbonio e le nanoplastiche, mediante studi in vitro ed ex vivo. Un’altra tematica di ricerca è finalizzata ad individuare il ruolo protettivo sulla salute umana di molecole bioattive naturali ad attività nutraceutica.

    Angela Di Pietro (orcid.org/0000-0002-7273-6493), graduated in Biological Sciences on 10-3-1977 (110 with honors) at the University of Messina, was a university researcher and then a confirmed researcher from 1983 to 29-5-2001 at the Faculty of Sciences MMFFNN. From 30-5-2001 to date he is associate professor (University of Messina, SDS Med 42). She was a member of the Teaching Staff of Doctoral School from the 17th to the 22nd Cycle.
    He is the author of 110 papers and a similar number of Communications and Posters in national and international conferences aimed at studying health-environment interactions. The most recent scientific production is mainly aimed at studying the pathogenetic mechanisms of metals, other pollutants, including some nanomaterials such as carbon nanotubes and nanoplastics, through in vitro and ex vivo studies. Another research topic is aimed at identifying the protective role on human health of natural bioactive molecules with nutraceutical activity.
