Obiettivi Formativi

I contenuti del corso mirano ad offrire la base della formazione linguistica che gli studenti matureranno nel corso del triennio. Gli studenti acquisiranno una solida base teorica su aspetti di linguistica tedesca che contemplano la fonetica/fonologia e la morfologia. Attraverso un corretto approccio metodologico e teorico, approfondiranno inoltre, durante il corso, aspetti linguistici e metalinguistici relativi all’analisi testuale. L’interazione con gli aspetti culturali e storici della comunicazione linguistica avviene attraverso l’introduzione alla storia della lingua tedesca nei suoi momenti chiave e alla cultura tedesca contemporanea (politica, società, economia ecc.). Gli studenti saranno in grado di usare le risorse linguistiche in una varietà di contesti comunicativi riconducibili, ma non coincidenti o limitati, al livello A2 del Quadro Comune di Riferimento delle Lingue (QCER)

Learning Goals

The course aims to offer the basis of the language competence that students will acquire in the three-year degree programme. Students will thus acquire a solid theoretical basis regarding German phonetics, phonology and morphology. Students will also become familiar with linguistic and metalinguistic aspects of textual analysis through a correct methodological approach. Students will finally be introduced to the cultural and historical aspects of linguistic communication through the study of key moments of the history of German language and of contemporary German culture (politics, society and economics, etc.) Students will be able to use their language skills in a variety of contexts corresponding, but not overlapping with or limited to, the A2 level of the Common European Framework of Reference for Modern Languages (CEFR)

Lezioni frontali, lezioni supportate dalla proiezione di slide, esercitazioni (analisi testuale ed approfondimento delle strutture morfo-sintattiche del tedesco).

Traditional didactic lecture, slideshow, lab activities (Text Analysis and practice exercises to develop knowledge and understanding of morphological and syntactic structures of German).

Prerequisiti

Livello A2 di conoscenza della lingua del Quadro Comune Europeo di riferimento (QCER). In alternativa, conoscenze di base relative a nozioni di grammatica e di analisi logica e sintattica.

A2 level of knowledge according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR); alternatively, a basic knowledge relating to grammar and logical and syntactical analysis notions.

Verifiche dell'apprendimento

- Esame scritto (propedeutico all’orale) ed esame orale. - Sono previste due prove intercorso facoltative: 1) prova intercorso di fonetica/fonologia, morfologia e sintassi del tedesco (se lo studente supera la prova intercorso, gli argomenti della stessa non saranno oggetto di discussione in sede di esame orale); 2) prova intercorso di grammatica (se lo studente supera la prova intercorso di grammatica sarà esonerato dalla parte A) dell’esame scritto propedeutico all’orale, mentre affronterà le parti B) e C) dell’esame scritto) L’esame scritto di tedesco è propedeutico all’esame orale. Esso si compone delle seguenti parti: A) parte di grammatica: verifica delle competenze grammaticali di livello A2 attraverso completamento di elementi della frase che possono coinvolgere p.es. declinazione di articoli, aggettivi, sostantivi, pronomi, flessione verbale, preposizioni, connettori frasali etc. (gli studenti che abbiano superato la prova intercorso di grammatica saranno esonerati da questa parte dell’esame scritto); B) parte relativa alle competenze di lettura (Leverstehen) e di scrittura (Schriftlicher Ausdruck): comprensione di un testo di livello A2 con domande a risposta multipla e aperta; composizione su traccia correlata tematicamente al Leseverstehen (50-80 parole). C) parte relativa alla prova d’ascolto tramite comprensione di una traccia audio con domande a risposta multipla L’esame orale prevede: 1) conversazione in tedesco su temi di livello A2 volta ad accertare la padronanza delle corrispondenti funzioni comunicative; 2) domande relative alla storia della lingua tedesca e alle varietà sociolinguistiche del tedesco contemporaneo; 3) domande di linguistica tedesca relative a fonetica/fonologia, morfologia e sintassi del tedesco; 4) lettura, traduzione, analisi linguistica e argomentazione orale dei testi contenuti nel libro del corso Orientierungskurs.

Assessment

Written exam (preparatory to the oral exam) and oral exam. - Two optional tests elapsed are foreseen: 1) test about phonetics / phonology, morphology and syntax of German (if the student passes the tests, the topics of the same will not be discussed in the oral exam); 2) grammar test (if the students pass the grammar test they will be exempt from part A) of the written exam preparatory to the oral exam, while he / she will deal with parts B) and C) of the written exam) The written German exam is a prerequisite for the oral exam. It consists of the following parts: A) part of grammar: verification of grammar skills of level A2 by completing elements of the sentence that may involve, for example, declension of articles, adjectives, nouns, pronouns, verbal inflection, prepositions, phrasal connectors etc. (students who have passed the grammar test will be exempted from this part of the written exam); B) part relating to reading skills (Leverstehen) and writing (Schriftlicher Ausdruck): comprehension of an A2 level text with multiple choice and open-ended questions; composition of a text thematically related to Leseverstehen (50-80 words). C) part relating to the listening test by understanding an audio track with multiple choice questions The oral exam includes: 1) conversation in German on A2 level topics aimed at ascertaining the mastery of the corresponding communication functions; 2) questions relating to the history of the German language and the sociolinguistic varieties of contemporary German; 3) German linguistics questions relating to phonetics / phonology, morphology and syntax of German; 4) reading, translation, linguistic analysis and oral argumentation of the texts contained in the Orientierungskurs course book.

Programma del Corso

Il corso prevede una precisa scansione interna, focalizzandosi sui seguenti argomenti: - la prima parte del corso affronta la storia della lingua tedesca seguendone l’evoluzione in senso diacronico (con particolare focus sulla storia della lingua tedesca dal XIX secolo ai nostri giorni), concentrandosi infine sulle varietà sociolinguistiche del tedesco contemporaneo; - la seconda parte del corso affronta la fonetica/fonologia, la morfologia del tedesco (il sistema vocalico e consonantico del tedesco, trascrizione IPA, allofoni, tratti fonologici, processi e regole fonologiche, struttura sillabica e accento, aspetti dell’ortografia tedesca e la riforma ortografica; flessione e formazione delle parole in tedesco; flessione nominale e verbale; composizione e derivazione) e la sintassi (la frase tedesca nelle sue principali tipologie; tipi di sintagma; distribuzione dei costituenti; la parentesi frasale; frase principale e secondaria). A conclusione di questa parte del corso lo studente avrà la possibilità di affrontare una prova intercorso che, se superata, gli consentirà di non trattare questa parte del corso in sede di esame orale; - La terza parte del corso affronta aspetti di Landeskunde, ovvero di storia, politica, cultura e civiltà tedesca attraverso analisi e commento dei testi proposti nel libro di riferimento Orientierungskurs; - Approfondimento delle strutture morfo-sintattiche del tedesco. Costituisce parte integrante del corso l’acquisizione delle competenze contemplate per il raggiungimento del livello A2 del tedesco (Lexik, Grammatik, Lesen, Hören, Sprechen, Schreiben) attraverso il lettorato

Course Syllabus

The course includes a precise internal scan, as it focuses on the following topics: - the first part of the course deals with the history of the German language by following its evolution in a diachronic sense (with particular focus on the history of the German language from the nineteenth century to the present day), finally focusing on the sociolinguistic varieties of contemporary German; - the second part of the course deals with phonetics / phonology, the morphology of German (the vowel and consonant system of German, IPA transcription, allophones, phonological traits, phonological processes and rules, syllabic structure and accent, aspects of German spelling and spelling reform; inflection and formation of words in German; nominal and verbal inflection; composition and derivation) and syntax (the German sentence in its main types; types of syntagma; distribution of constituents; phrasal parenthesis; main and secondary sentence). At the end of this part of the course, the student will have the opportunity to take an exam which, if passed, will allow him or her not to deal with this part of the course during the oral exam; - The third part of the course deals with aspects of Landeskunde, consisting of German history, politics, culture and civilization through analysis and commentary on the texts proposed in the reference book Orientierungskurs; - Deepening of the morpho-syntactic structures of German. The acquisition of the skills required for achieving the A2 level of German (Lexik, Grammatik, Lesen, Hören, Sprechen, Schreiben) through the lectorate is an integral part of the course.
