In particolare saranno analizzati i seguenti testi: George Gordon Lord Byron, She Walks in Beauty Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Sonnets from the Portuguese Robert Browning, Porphyria’s Lover Alfred Lord Tennyson, Maud Christina Rossetti, A Daughter of Eve, Twice, The Iniquity of the Fathers upon the Children Charles Kingsley, Oh, That We Two Were Maying The Sands of Dee Dion Boucicault, Open the Door Softly Dante Gabriel Rossetti, Sudden Light The Blessed Damozel Sister Helen Penumbra Jenny Algernon Charles Swinburne, A Ballad of Dreamland A Ballad of Death Oscar Wilde, The Ballad of Reading Gaol Alfred Edward Housman, A Shropshire Lad, VIII, IX, XIV, XV Alfred Noyes, The Highwayman, A Prayer in Time of War William Butler Yeats, He Wishes for the Cloths of Heaven When You Are Old The Rose of the World The Lover Tells of the Rose in His Heart He Wishes His Beloved Were Dead Adam’s Curse A Woman Homer Sung T.S.
