Two free online courses for medical students, titled 'An Introduction to Surgery' and 'Basic Suturing skills', aimed at not only improving the student’s skills and knowledge but also self-belief and confidence, are available at https://surgeryskills.com/surgeryskills-courses/. 

The 'Introduction to surgery' course tends to be better suited to earlier years students, while the 'Basic suturing skills' course is appropriate for all years.
