Curriculum

Laureatasi in Lettere Classiche presso l'Università degli Studi di Messina, nel 2003 consegue il Dottorato di ricerca in “Studi Mesopotamici” (XIV ciclo) presso l'Università degli Studi di Napoli “L'Orientale” con uno studio di 134 testi inediti di epoca antico-babilonese conservati presso il British Museum di Londra. La testi di dottorato è stata edita nel 2003 nella Serie NISABA, vol. 4: Rīm-Anum texts in the British Museum, che vanta a oggi oltre 5000 citazioni. Nel 2005 consegue la Specializzazione in "Archeologia Orientale", presso la Sapienza - Università di Roma, con voto 70/70 con lode, con una tesi dal titolo; I depositi di fondazione in Assiria dall'inizio del II millennio a.C. alla fine dell'impero, sotto la guida del prof. Paolo Matthiae.
Il 18/02/2014 consegue l'Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale a Professore di Seconda Fascia, Area scientifica 10/N1 – Culture del Vicino Oriente Antico, del Medio Oriente e dell’Africa (valida fino al al 18/02/2023).
Il 22/08/2018 ottiene nuovamente l'Abilitazione Scientifica Nazionale a Professore di Seconda Fascia, Area scientifica 10/N1 – Culture del Vicino Oriente Antico, del Medio Oriente e dell’Africa, Conferita all’unanimità e valida sino al 22/08/2027.

Rositani Annunziata è al momento il Supervisore / Responsabile Scientifico (P.I.) per l’Università degli Studi di Messina, del progetto MSCIF-GF : “GALATEO: Good Attitudes for Life in Assyrian Times: Etiquette and Observance of Norms in Male and Female Groups” (GA 101027543) presentato dal dott. Ludovico Portuese, ammesso al finanziamento su fondo EU (European Union), nell’ambito del Programma europeo per la Ricerca e l’Innovazione HORIZON 2020 (2014-2020), con l’azione Marie Skłodowska-Curie Action Individual Fellowships (MSCA-IF)–Global Fellowship, Call: H2020-MSCA-IF-GL2020, che prevede un secondment di 24 mesi presso University of Pennsylvania – USA (UPenn) Department of History of Art (sotto la direzione scientifica della professoressa Holly Pittman (curator in the Near East Section of the Penn Museum and co-curator of the Assyrian Relief Galleries at the Metropolitan Museum of Art). 

Da gennaio 2022 è membro del Consiglio Direttivo del neo-istituito Centro di Ricerca Interdisciplinare sull'Economia del Viicno Oriente antico, con sede presso il DICAM, Università di Messina.

Dal 2003 al 2013 ha svolto attività didattica come professore a contratto presso l'Università della Calabria, dove ha tenuto corsi di Assiriologia, Storia del Vicino Oriente antico, Archeologia e Storia dell'arte del Vicino Oriente antico. Successivamente ha svolto attività didattica come esperto esterno presso la Libera Università "Kore" di Enna (2012-2015) dove ha tenuto i corsi di Assiriologia e Civiltà Mesopotamiche, quindi è stat professore a contratto presso l'Università di Pisa (2016-2018), dove ha tenuto corsi di Storia del Vicino Oriente antico e di Assiriologia presso il CdS Triennale in Storia e quello Magistrale in Orientalistica: Egitto, Vicino e Medio Oriente.
Nel suo complesso, ha fatto da relatrice in oltre 40 tesi di laurea tra Triennali, 10 Magistrali e 6 Vecchio Ordinamento.

Nel triennio 2011-2013 ha usufruito di una Borsa Post-Doc Calabria all’estero finanziata dal POR Calabria su Fondi Sociali Europei (FSE) 2007/2013, Obiettivo Operativo M.2, per lo svolgimento di una ricerca su: “L’organizzazione del lavoro servile e dipendente in Mesopotamia dal II millennio a.C. all’arrivo dei Greci e dei Romani. Cambiamenti e continuità” con sede presso l’Università della Calabria, Dipartimento di Studi Umanistici, Sezione di Storia e l'University of London, Faculty of Languages and Cultures, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), Department of the Near and Middle East ove ha goduto anche di una Post-Graduate Exchange Fellowship, as Temporary Staff Attached to the Department of the Near and Middle East, Faculty of Languages and Cultures, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London, con il progetto: “The organization of servile and dependent labour in Mesopotamia from the second millennium BC to the arrival of the Greeks and Romans. Changes and continuity.” Liaison Officer: Prof. Andrew George, professor of Babylonian, Department of the Near and Middle East, Faculty of Languages and Cultures, School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London (UK).
Nel biennio 2015-2017 è stata Assegnista di Ricerca Senior presso l'Università di Padova, Dipartimento di Studi Storici, Geografici e dell’Antichità (DISSGEA), con il progetto: The Organization of Agriculture, Sheep Farming, Economy and Society of Central-Southern Mesopotamia during the First Dynasty of Babylonia (XIX-XVI cent. BC). Responsabile: prof. Giovanni Battista Lanfranchi.
Nel biennio 2017-2018 è stata Assegnista di Ricerca B presso l'Università di Messina, Dipartimento di Civiltà Antiche e Moderne (DICAM) per una ricerca su: “Amministrazione, gestione e valore del lavoro nel periodo paleo-babilonese: nuove fonti. Edizione di tavolette cuneiformi del British Museum e della Yale Babylonian Collection” Responsabile: prof. Francesco Pomponio, nell’ambito del finanziamento PRIN 2015PFPLLP (Principal Investigator prof. F. Pomponio) per un progetto dal titolo “Cambiamento e continuità nell'amministrazione, nella gestione e nel valore del lavoro nell'antica Mesopotamia, dal periodo neo-sumerico a quello paleo-babilonese (XXI-XVI secc. a.C.): nuove fonti. Edizione e studio comparato del materiale cuneiforme di tre collezioni (British Museum, Harvard Semitic Museum e Yale Babylonian Collection)”.
Dal 2019 è Ricercatrice a Tempo Determinato di tipo B di Assiriologia (S.S.D.: L-OR/03) presso il Dipartimento di Civiltà Antiche e Moderne, Università di Messina, dove tiene corsi di "Assiriologia" e "Storia del Vicino Oriente antico" per il CdS Triennale in Lettere e il corso di "Fonti per la ricerca storica" presso il CdL Magistrale in Scienze Storiche LM84.

Ha pubblicato 3 monografie, di cui 2 in inglese, di edizione e studio di testi cuneiformi paleo-babilonesi.
Recentemente, ha pubblicato il volume monografico: Annunziata Rositani, La letteratura sapienziale nell’antica Mesopotamia, per la casa editrice Le Monnier Università, Mondadori Education S.p.A., Milano 2021.
Ha pubblicato inoltre quasi 40 tra articoli e contributi nei quali si è occupata prevalentemente di edizione di testi cuneiformi inediti di epoca paleo-babilonese, dell’organizzazione del lavoro dipendente, della gestione dei prigionieri di guerra e di testi sapienziali mesopotamici, visti anche in chiave antropologica.
Insieme a Lorenzo Verderame e a Palmiro Notizia ha curato il volume in onore del prof. Francesco Pomponio: P. Notizia, A. Rositani, L. Verderame (eds.), dNisaba za3-mi2. Ancient Near Eastern Studies in Honor of Francesco Pomponio, DUBSAR. Altorientalistische Publikationen Publications on the Ancient Near East, Band 19, Zaphon. Münster 2021.

È membro del Comitato Editoriale delle Serie “Sud. Altri Studi Assiriologici Messinesi” e “Nisaba. Studi Assiriologici Messinesi”, edite dal DICAM e della Rivista "Oriens Antiquus-- Series Nova" Roma - La Sapienza.
Svolge attività di referaggio per Riviste Specialistiche e per Riviste di Fascia A.
Da gennaio 2021 Annunziata Rositani è iscritta a REPRISE (albo degli esperti scientifici istituito presso il MIUR) per la sezione: Ricerca di base, risultando inserita nell'elenco dei valutatori tra pari dei progetti PRIN 2020.
È membro del Collegio dei docenti del Dottorato in Filologia e Storia del Mondo Antico della Sapienza – Università di Roma.
Recentemente ha svolto attività didattica presso lo stesso Dottorato in Filologia e Storia del Mondo Antico della Sapienza - Università di Roma e presso il Dottorato in Scienze Umanistiche dell'Università degli Studi di Messina.

Recentemente ha partecipato alla Giornata di Studi su: "L'amministrazione nel Vicino Oriente antico. Il III e il II millennio a.C." tenutasi il 20.05.2022 presso l'Università di Verona, Dottorato in Scienze Archeologiche, Storico-artistiche e Storiche.

Il 6 maggio 2022 ha tenuto un webinar su "King Rīm-Anum of Uruk: A Reconstruction of an Old Babylonian Rebel Kingdom", su invito dell'ARWA (The International Association for Archaeological Research in Western and Central Asia) nell'ambito della Online Lecture Series – Philology & History Liaison Group. From Text to History: Philological Approaches to the Ancient Near East.

Ha partecipato a molti progetti di ricerca nazionali e internazionali, tra i quali vari COFIN e PRIN con il prof. Francesco Pomponio come P.I. - Coordinatore Internazionale, ed è stata responsabile di un progetto per Giovani Ricercatori.
È stata tra i beneficiari del Finanziamento FFABR UniMe 2020.
Nel 2020 è subentrata al prof. F. Pomponio come Coordinatore Scientifico del Programma di Ricerca Scientifica di Rilevante Interesse Nazionale - Prin 2015 - Progetto Prin 2015PFPLLP - Settore ERC SH5. 
Attualmente è responsabile del Progetto sui prestiti d’argento nell’antica Mesopotamia per il periodo paleo-babilonese (XIX-XVI secc. a.C.), gestito da Banca d’Italia e Sapienza – Università di Roma.
