Obiettivi Formativi

Lo studente dovrà acquisire conoscenza su classificazione, meccanismo d’azione ed utilizzo dei farmaci anestetici e analgesici impiegabili negli animali d’interesse veterinario; materiali e strumenti chirurgici, tecniche di disinfezione e sterilizzazione, comprensione della strutturazione e organizzazione delle sale chirurgiche e dell'abbigliamento degli operatori e delle modalità di vestizione; delle tecniche chirurgiche di base in relazione ai vari apparati e tessuti. Lo studente dovrà acquisire le seguenti competenze: eseguire procedure asettiche in modo appropriato; eseguire una appropriata visita pre-anestetica, eseguire in sicurezza sedazione, anestesia generale, intubazione orotracheale, mantenimento e anestesia loco-regionale; attuare metodi chimici e fisici di contenzione; valutare e gestire il dolore acuto e cronico; eseguire un monitoraggio intra-operatorio; monitorare il risveglio; scegliere l’approccio chirurgico appropriato, la strumentazione e il materiale da utilizzare; comunicare in campo professionale utilizzando una terminologia adeguata.

Learning Goals

The student will have to acquire knowledge on the classification, mechanism of action and use of anesthetic and analgesic drugs, that can be used in animals of veterinary interest; surgical materials and instruments, disinfection and sterilization techniques, understanding of the structuring and organization of surgical rooms and of the operators' clothing and dressing methods; basic surgical techniques in relation to the various systems and tissues. The student will have to acquire the following competenxìces: perform aseptic procedures in an appropriate way; perform an appropriate pre-anesthetic visit, safely perform sedation, general anesthesia, orotracheal intubation, maintenance and loco-regional anesthesia; apply chemical and physical methods of restraint; assess and manage acute and chronic pain; perform intra-operative monitoring; monitor the awakening; choose the appropriate surgical approach, instrumentation and material to be used; communicate in the professional field using appropriate terminology.

Verifiche dell'apprendimento

La verifica dell’apprendimento si realizza anche con verifiche in itinere e esame finale. L’esame si svolge in forma orale; la valutazione finale è espressa in trentesimi e sarà il risultato medio delle singole prove, come qui di seguito riportato: 18-20/30 (Sufficiente): Lo studente conosce gli argomenti del corso, almeno nelle linee generali, e possiede una capacità espositiva minima con una sufficiente proprietà di linguaggio. 21-23/30 (Discreto): Lo studente dimostra una discreta conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti trattati, unitamente ad una discreta proprietà di linguaggio e capacità espositiva. 24-26/30 (Buono): Lo studente dimostra una buona conoscenza e comprensione degli argomenti trattati, unitamente ad una buona proprietà di linguaggio e capacità espositiva. 27-29/30 (Ottimo): Lo studente dimostra un ottimo livello di conoscenza, comprensione degli argomenti e capacità' di collegamento, ed un’ottima capacità espositiva e proprietà di linguaggio. 30/30-30/30 e lode (Eccellente): Lo studente dimostra una completa ed elevata padronanza degli argomenti trattati, una elevata capacità di interconnessione tra le conoscenze acquisite, elevata capacità espositiva e proprietà di linguaggio. Laddove queste capacità dovessero raggiungere un grado di eccellenza, verrà conseguita anche la lode.

Assessment

The assessment is also carried out with ongoing checks and final exam. The exam takes place in oral form; the final evaluation is expressed out of thirty and will be the average result of the individual tests, as shown below: 18-20/30 (Sufficient): The student knows the topics of the course, at least in general lines, and has a minimum expository capacity with sufficient language properties. 21-23/30 (Fair): The student demonstrates a fair knowledge and understanding of the topics covered, together with a fair property of language and expository ability. 24-26/30 (Good): The student demonstrates a good knowledge and understanding of the topics covered, together with a good property of language and presentation skills. 27-29/30 (verygood): The student demonstrates an excellent level of knowledge, understanding of the topics and ability to connect, and excellent presentation skills and language properties. 30/30-30/30 cum laude (Excellent): The student demonstrates a complete and high command of the topics covered, a high ability to interconnect the acquired knowledge, high expository ability and language properties. Where these skills reach a degree of excellence, honors will also be achieved.

------------------------------------------------------------ Modulo: 827/1 - MEDICINA OPERATORIA VETERINARIA ------------------------------------------------------------ -- ------------------------------------------------------------ Modulo: 827/2 - ANESTESIOLOGIA VETERINARIA ------------------------------------------------------------ Introduzione all’anestesiologia, definizioni e note storiche Attrezzature, strumenti e personale specializzato: strumentario di base, macchina d’anestesia, sistemi respiratori, ventilazione spontanea e meccanica, tubi oro-tracheali, pompa e siringa ad infusione. Cenni di fluidoterapia ed emotrasfusione. Introduzione all’anestesia dei piccoli animali da compagnia (cenni su esotici e selvatici). Preparazione del paziente ed esame fisico, valutazione preanestesiologica e classificazione ASA, esami strumentali e di laboratorio, consenso informato. Premedicazione: generalità, anticolinergici, tranquillanti sedativi e analgesici Fisiologia del dolore e controllo del dolore pre-, intra- e post-operatorio. Induzione: generalità, anestetici generali Mantenimento dell’anestesia generale: generalità, agenti inalatori, TIVA, PIVA (3 ore) Bloccanti neuromuscolari Monitoraggio dell’anestesia: clinico e strumentale Anestesia generale nei grossi animali (equino, bovino, cenni su esotici e selvatici). Complicanze in anestesia generale. Anestesia ed analgesia loco regionale. Cenni di anestesia a distanza (teleanestesia)
