Gli studenti acquisiranno strumenti e conoscenze utili a comprendere ed analizzare i più importanti aspetti della letteratura francese, nonché i mutamenti del contesto storico-sociale, della sensibilità, dell’ideologia e dell’estetica letterarie quali si manifestano attraverso opere di diversi autori e di diversi generi di scrittura dal Medioevo al XVII secolo

Students will acquireskills and knowledge useful in understanding and analysing the most important aspects of French literature, as well as the changes in the historical and social context, in literary sensitivity, ideology and aesthetics as manifested through the works by different authors and of different literary genres from the Middle Ages to the 17th century

Metodi didattici

Lo studente, che apprenderà sul manuale la storia letteraria, acquisirà, nel corso delle lezioni e con l’ausilio dei testi critici di riferimento, una serie di nozioni base indispensabili per un’adeguata lettura critico-interpretativa delle opere letterarie. In quest’ottica saranno presentati e commentati alcuni titoli esemplari dei diversi generi letterari e delle questioni storico-culturali delle forme e dei linguaggi che contraddistinguono la letteratura dei secoli in oggetto.

Teaching Methods

The student, who will learn literary history on the manual, will acquire, during the lessons and with the help of the critical reference texts, a series of basic notions essential for an adequate critical-interpretative reading of literary works. In this context, some exemplary titles of the different literary genres and of the historical-cultural questions of the forms and languages that characterize the literature of the centuries in question will be presented and commented.

Per essere in grado di affrontare la discussione dei contenuti del corso di Letteratura francese I, si dovrà dimostrare di possedere un livello equivalente a B2 secondo il Quadro Comune Europeo di Riferimento per le Lingue (QCER).

Prerequisites

In order to be able to discuss the content of the French Literature I course, students must demonstrate a level equivalent to B2 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).

Verifiche dell'apprendimento

Colloquio orale sugli argomenti e sui testi in programma e trattati nel corso delle lezioni. Saranno valutati il grado di preparazione raggiunto e la capacità espositiva di ogni singolo studente. Una parte del colloquio si svolgerà in lingua francese.

Assessment

Oral exam on the topics and texts treated during the lessons. The degree of preparation achieved and the expository ability of each student will be assessed. A part of the exam will take place in French.

Il corso, corrispondente a 9 CFU, si propone di fornire allo studente strumenti e conoscenze utili a comprendere ed analizzare i più importanti aspetti della Letteratura Francese dalle origini al XVII secolo, nonchè i mutamenti del contesto storico-sociale, della sensibilità, dell’ideologia e dell’estetica letterarie attraverso una selezione di opere come di seguito specificato.

Course Syllabus

The course, which corresponds to 9 CFU, aims to provide students with useful skills and knowledge to understand and analyse the most important aspects of French literature from its origins to the 17th century, as well as changes in the historical and social context, in literary sensibility, ideology and aesthetics through a selection of works as specified below.
