Obiettivi Formativi

I contenuti del primo corso di Letteratura Tedesca mirano ad offrire un panorama generale dello sviluppo della storia della letteratura tedesca, nel suo più ampio contesto culturale (l’intera area tedescofona: Germania, Austria, Svizzera), a partire dal Seicento e fino all’inizio dell’Ottocento. Gli studenti acquisiranno anche un corretto approccio metodologico e critico alle epoche e correnti letterarie trattate, attraverso lo studio dei testi originali con approfondimento degli aspetti linguistici e retorici e delle dimensioni tematiche, figurative e formali

Learning Goals

The contents of the first course of German Literature aim to offer a general overview of the development of the history of German literature, considered in its broadest cultural context (the entire German speaking area: Germany, Austria, Switzerland), from the Seventeenth century to the beginning of the Nineteenth century. Students will also achieve a correct methodological and critical approach to the literary periods and movements taken into account, through the study of the original texts and a close analysis of the linguistic and rhetorical aspects, as well as the thematic, figurative and formal dimensions

Studio delle linee principali della storia della letteratura tedesca dal Barocco fino all’epoca classico-romantica. Conoscenza diretta, attraverso la lettura e l’analisi in aula, di opere scelte di Martin Opitz, Andreas Gryphius, Immanuel Kant, Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Friedrich von Schiller e Heinrich von Kleist.

Course Syllabus

Study of the main lines of the history of German literature from the Baroque to the Classic-Romantic age. Direct knowledge, through reading and analysis made during the lessons, of selected works by Martin Opitz, Andreas Gryphius, Immanuel Kant, Gotthold Ephraim Lessing, Johann Wolfgang von Goethe, Friedrich von Schiller and Heinrich von Kleist.
