Obiettivi Formativi

Il corso ha l’obiettivo avviare gli studenti alla pratica della traduzione mediante l'analisi e la risoluzione dei problemi linguistici e traduttivi che sorgono a partire dai testi presentati in classe, di ampliare le conoscenze precedentemente acquisite e indirizzarli al raggiungimento delle competenze terminologiche di base legate ai linguaggi specialistici, fornendo loro metodologie specifiche e gli strumenti tecnici necessari per operare con successo nell'ambito della traduzione specializzata.

Learning Goals

The course aims to initiate students to the practice of translation through the analysis and resolution of language and translation problems that arise from the texts shown in the lessons, to broaden the knowledge previously acquired and direct them to the achievement of terminological skills basic linked to specialized languages, providing them with specific methodologies and technical tools needed to operate successfully in the field of specialized translation.

Competenza linguistica di livello autonomo in lingua spagnola, scritta e orale. Piena padronanza della lingua italiana scritta e orale.

Verifiche dell'apprendimento

Alla fine del corso è prevista una verifica delle conoscenze acquisite mediante una prova scritta di traduzione diretta e inversa, le cui modalità saranno illustrate nel corso delle lezioni con opportune esemplificazioni ed esercitazioni in aula. La durata della prova è di cinque ore e prevede: a) Traduzione dalla Lingua straniera alla madre lingua Uno o più testi per un massimo di 1,5 cartelle (2250 battute). La prova tende a saggiare le capacità di riprodurre nella lingua d’arrivo le caratteristiche stilistiche del testo oggetto di traduzione. b) Traduzione dalla madrelingua alla lingua straniera. Testo di 1 cartella (1500 battute). La prova tende a saggiare la capacità di muoversi fra i due ambiti linguistici. La votazione finale risulterà dalla somma dei punti conseguiti nelle due prove con l’aggiustamento dell’eventuale decimale alla cifra intera. Il risultato positivo ottenuto in una sola delle due prove potrà essere mantenuto se lo studente supera la prova restante entro gli appelli previsti per l’anno acc. di riferimento.

Assessment

At the end of the course there will be a verification of the knowledge acquired through a direct and inverse written translation test, the details of which will be discussed in the lectures with appropriate examples and exercises. The duration of the test is five hours and provides for: a) Translation from the foreign language to mother tongue One or more texts to a maximum of 1.5 folders (2250 bars). The evidence tends to test the ability to play in the target language the stylistic characteristics of the text to translate. b) translation from the native language to the foreign language. Text of 1 page (1500 characters). The evidence tends to test the ability to switch between the two linguistic areas. The final vote will be the sum of points obtained in the two tests with the possible adjustment to the decimal integer. The positive result in one of the two tests will be retained if the student passes the test remaining before the exams scheduled for the year acc. of reference.

Programma del Corso

La traduzione intersemiotica, intralinguistica e interlinguistica; La traduzione: atto comunicativo, operazione testuale, e attività cognitiva; I tipi di traduzione: che cos’è la traduzione professionale; Traduzione di testi specialistici/traduzione letteraria. Modalità di traduzione: Traduzione scritta e traduzine di linguaggi audiovisivi (i sottotitoli). Metodi, tecniche e strategie traduttive. Durante il corso verranno analizzate le norme e le convenzioni afferenti a tipologie testuali diverse in chiave contrastiva tra la lingua italiana e la lingua spagnola. Il corso presterà particolare attenzione al linguaggio della comunicazione professionale, di testi appartenenti a generi letterari di vario tipo, di testi di carattere socio-economico e politico.

Course Syllabus

Intersemiotic, intralinguistic and interlinguistic translation; Translation: communicative act, textual operation, and cognitive activity; The types of translation: what is professional translation; Translation of specialized texts / literary translation. Translation mode: Written translation and translation of audio-visual languages (subtitles). Methods, techniques and translational strategies. During the course will be analyzed the norms and conventions relating to different types of texts contrasting between the Italian language and the Spanish language. The course will pay particular attention to the language of professional communication, texts belonging to literary genres of various kinds, socio-economic and political texts
